Entrepreneurship Ain't Easy!

When you hear the word, "Entrepreneur", most people think of creating their own schedule, becoming their own boss, making their own money, etc. However, rarely do people take into consideration the mental gymnastics, the financial unrest, and the loops & twist a person may go through to get to the "Entrepreneurial Promise-land".

I just want to shed light on both the good and the bad. Even once your business becomes successful there will still be fires to put out, there will always be something you will have to adjust to. Sometimes that is learning about new trends in your industry, new social media platforms, or even e-commerce laws, and taxes, that are constantly changing.

What I will say that is throughout your entrepreneurial journey you will learn how to cope, adapt, build a strong foundation /team that can roll with the punches, and have a system in place that is ready to adjust to the times.

There is no set of rules for how each person should mentally handle being an entrepreneur, but you can be prepared by grounding yourself in your faith, having great time management skills, and to always have your mantras/ affirmations/songs ready for when those hard days arise. Remember every day will not be sunshine & rainbows, but it is how you push through those days that will separate those who succeed & go to the next level.

I can honestly say that while growing my business over the years we were hit with so many things, that at each huge level of success we always got hit with something catastrophic right before. From losing employees that were vital to our warehouse, from our bank accounts being closed without notice, from shipments being lost and never recovered. Each one of those situations prepared us for the next level of success without us even noticing. It was like God was positioning us to go in the direction he needed us to go in. For example, losing employees at our warehouse helped us to scale up and make the decision to go into a fulfillment center. Which eventually saved us money, we had fewer responsibilities & headaches. I can go on and on , but I don't want to get to preachy, lol. (Because I stay with a testimony lol)

My advice to any current & future entrepreneurs STAY THE COURSE NO MATTER HOW HARD IT GETS! I always think about if we would have given up early on when starting, Hair Are Us, when we were getting hit with so many curveballs, we wouldn't be where we are today.
